Catcher In The Rye

This term we studied the reinvigorated The Catcher in the rye whiskey by J.D. Salinger. For this essay I have elect to issue about the main char molder Holden Caulfield and how he sees life. At scratch line I had told myself I didnt like this novel except in all honestness that was because I didnt make up enough trouble to it. only if after re-reading everything I in truth enjoyed it. I found Holden hilarious. As did many readers Im sure, you hit the sack Holden because of how everyone and close to everything to him is negative. One could say he is at contend with the world. But I mostly enjoyed Holden because he is deeper than that, he is apprehensive to grow up and thats something I could advert to. Ill start with explaining why I found Holden to be such a funny char influenceer-and a character he real is- is how he takes be judgemental to a complete and utter extreme, so much so, to the stage where it becomes comical. Holden judges everyone and everything. He criticizes and goes on and on about people who argon boring, people who are insecure, and, higher up all, people who are phony, which in his persuasion is nearly everyone bar his sister Phoebe, Jane Gallagher and his deceased brother Allie. But Holden is cognizant of how judgemental he is and shows this at one point in the novel when he says that somebody will probably draw up FUCK YOU on his tombstone.

Holdens view on phonies isnt completely fair though. It is to anyone who follows society such as teachers who act in a different behaviour in connectedness as opposed to when they engage in normal conversation. Th is is a stupid point. Of course teachers are! going to show more than authority in class its their job. But Holden likewise thinks anyone who follows society in general is also superficial and phony.
